Thank you so much for taking part in the Sweet Heat Chilli Challenge #4 - Let's Rock Indian. It was my first time hosting an event on my blog, and I am overwhelmed by your wonderful response to it. We had thirty five entries in total, and Lyndsey and I are so chuffed! Thank you all so much for taking the time to link to this event.

Here is the round up for the spicy hot Indian dishes you came up with and its a brilliant one with dishes from all over the country, all heated up with those wonderful spicy chillies. After the round up, don't forget to head over to Lyndsey's blog on the 1st to check out the theme for February. I personally can't wait to see what it is!!

To the round-up we go!

First up we have the sweet Ash from Indulge - Ash's Corner. Ash linked up three fabulous Indian recipes for this event, and I can't wait to share them with you all.

Here is her spicy, yet comforting and healthy Moong Dal and Brown Rice Khichadi.

Next up, her interesting take on pumpkin, with this Baakar Bhaaji.

And finally she linked this unusual Corn-Cilantro Upma that makes fusion food look so easy and delicious.

Next on the list is
Manali's Cravings who has linked up two gorgeous recipes.

This lovely and taste-of-homely Matar Kurma (Green Peas Kurma)

And this flavour filled Palak Paneer (Cottage Cheese in a Spinach Sauce) I could do with some of this food right about now!

And now presenting the lovely Nivedita
, who blogs unusal fusion Indian dishes over at Panfusine.

She has shared this stunning Kerala Style Kumquat Pickle with us. East and West meet in perfect harmony in this piquant dish.

The internet is an amazing place. We get to meet people who we don't know in real life but who turn out to become real friends! Ansh of Spice Roots is one such person. Absolutely lovely, and I can't wait to meet her for real. It has to happen soon Anshie!

She shares with us this classic Indian dish Chicken 65. I was telling her that this was my dad's favourite dishes at home.

Next up is Smitha from from
Smitha's Spicy Flavours.

She posted up this totally amazing looking Paneer Jalfrezi. A perfect blend of spices makes this dish a total keeper and I can't wait to try it out.

Smitha also linked up this Podi Idli, a utterly delicious breakfast dish of steamed rice cakes tossed in spices. My mouth is totally watering!

Sukanya from
Saffron Streaks, writes a food and travel blog.

She shared with us this classic Hyderabadi dish called Mirchi Ka Salan or Chilli Curry that completely represented what this challenge was all about! Softly cooked chillies in a lovely spiced gravy make for the perfect accompaniment to Indian dishes.

I am a besotted new follower of Francesca's
Checky's Kitchen.

She made this totally divine looking Pepper Chicken Curry. Its from Kerala, and one of my favourite dishes ever. Hot cracked pepper flavours tender melting chicken that falls off the bone for a perfectly comforting Indian meal.

Next up I'd like to introduce you to the lovely
Corina from Searching for Spice.

She dips her toes into Indian cuisine with this absolutely beautiful chicken biriyani that she pairs with an unusual, but oh so scrummy looking spinach raita.

Now how come I never thought of a pairing like that?

Manasi from
A Cook @ Heart brings us this lovely Aloo Tikki Chaat or Stuffed Potato Shells.

These totally bring back memories of home for me, as I look longingly at those soft, warm delights.

Hasna from
Kachuss Delights shares with us two spicy hot dishes.

First this classic Indian favourite Tandoori Chicken. You can't really go wrong with this dish at parties for sure!

And second, this wonderful looking BBQ Chicken Biriyani. I think I need to figure out a way to head to her house for dinner soon!

The redoubtable Vaishali from Ribbon's to Pasta's is on a roll!
She brings us, get this, SIX fabuolus dishes from all over India and some innovative fusion ones as well. I am in awe of her already.

Her unusual Sweet and Spicy Fruit Kebabs are going to grace my table soon!

And then, a yummy Tri-Daali Daal and Roti.

Third, she shares these crispy Daal Vadas (my favourite Indian street food!)

Her fourth contribution, this unusual Indian preparation called Daal Patra or Steamed Colocasia Dumplings.

Then she tirelessly shares these Green Dal Kebabs.

And finishes the collection of super yummy dishes with this intriguing Paneer 'Steak' with Roasted Peppers.
Those are some energy levels you have, my dear!!!

Anjali from
Spice n Sugar Tales brings us another of my favourite Indian street foods.

Pani Puris or Puchkas.

Anjali actually made these little puffed puris herself in those pretty and cute shapes.

Respect!!

Shireen from
Ruchik Randhap is one of my contemporaries from Mangalore. Weirdly we never met in Mangalore, but we have become hugely firm friends over the internet and through all the distance separating us.

I adore Shireen's blog, which is a must visit one if you are interested in classic Coastal Indian cuisine and lots more beyond it. Shireen takes some stunning photos, and if you don't believe me, check out her contributions. This Mangalorean childhood favourite Chicken Lollipops.

And a vegetarian classic, also from Mangalore,
Raw Banana Curry.

Hemavathi from
Hema's Vantagadi, brings us these two popular Indian recipes.

Aamvada (Split Pea Fritters) and

Poriyal Podi (A Chutney Powder with Urad Dal) Yummy!!

Resh from
Daily Cuppa is a coffee lover who moonlights with delicious food recipes too. She has shared two recipes with us.

This dry Indian Chilli Chicken is a spicy hot, fragrant delight.

And this South East Asian inspired Nasi Lemak with Prawn Sambal is yet another spicy treat. Thank you for sharing, Resh!

Lubna from Yummy Food taught me a few things about Indian greens
with this lovely Red Sorrel Leaves Chutney.

I had no clue what these savoury leaves were called until I read her informative post.

Check out her photography too, its beautiful.

One of my all time favourite bloggers in the world is the adorable Phil from
As Strong As Soup.

His desserts are legendary in our household, and I love his dry British sense of humour.

He has recreated a classic Rajasthani dish, Laal Maans for this challenge. It just looks so delicious, I want to gobble it right up now!

The founder of Sweet Heat Chilli Challenge, Lyndsey from
Vanilla Clouds and Lemon Drops cooked up a curry feast.

She shares this hot and fiery Lamb and Spinach Curry with Spiced Green Beans.

Two spicy slam dunks in one post!

Rasi from
Vegetarian Food and Me is another blogger specialising in vegetarian cuisine.

She serves up another version of a chutney powder in this hot and spicy Molagai Podi.

Anything that makes life easier is always fine by me!

Mansi from
Fun & Food Cafe serves up this perennial Indian favourite aubergine dish, the Baingan Bharta.

Nothing better than the taste of hot smoky eggplants in a spicy curry to chase away winter blues for sure!

And Janet from
The Taste Space also makes a bharta.

She spices up her aubergines with some delicious chickpeas that just make this Indian Roasted Eggplant and Tomatoes with Chickpeas a definite keeper of a recipe.

Everything tastes better with chickpeas, at least according to me!

And that, my friends, concludes the round-up for the Sweet Heat Chilli Challenge # 4. Now aren't you curious as to what Lyndsey has in store for you for next month? Head over to her blog, and find out on the 1st of February.

A HUGE thanks to everyone who participated and made this event such a success. As I said before in one of my posts, you, my friends, are what define me. So thank you again!
